Why I'm Stepping Out
Stepping out for Lachlan
Last year, I took part in the very first Step Out for Cancer walk in support of Lachlan Leung, who at the time was undergoing treatment for brain cancer.
Sadly, Lachlan passed away earlier this year, aged just 17.
This year, I'll be stepping out again - but this time, I'll be walking in Lachlan's honour and in his memory.
Last year, I walked with hope that Lachlan would get through his treatment. This year, I'll be walking to remember him, to honour the strength and courage he showed throughout his battle with brain cancer, and to help support other children and families facing cancer.
No child should have to face cancer, and no family should have to experience the loss of a child. Funds raised through Step Out for Cancer help support vital childhood cancer research, with the hope of creating better treatments and outcomes for children in the future.
If you can, please consider making a donation. Every contribution helps support research and gives hope to families who are still in the fight.
I'll be stepping out for Lachlan - in his honour, and in his memory.
